After an enormously long and enjoyable day of meetings, we went to a great restaurant, Wahoo, in St George’s (St George is a recurring theme this year). What does our chauffeur, Nigel Richardson, show us when we emerge to make us feel at home? Vandalism! Graffitti!!
Not at all, rather a wonderful community art group working late at night under the superb direction of designer and artist Shanna Hollis, that’s her to my left in green. Check out her work when you’re there next.
As for work, here we are visiting the fascinating NASA Wallops Flight Facility as part of the research underpinning our 695th Lord Mayor’s Space Protection Initiative. Joe Sherwood, Range Communications Supervisor, is standing on my left, and gave us an enthusiastic, welcoming, and informative tour of their important work.
